Required as soon as possible. This role is fixed term to 31st August 2025 in the first instance with a view to extending the contract if the school budget allows.
We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and motivated member of staff to work as part of a team supporting children with Special Educational Needs in our mixed year 1 / 2 classes in the first instance.
If you have:
- experience of working with children with SEN, particularly Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs and / or children who are neurodivergent in a school or pre-school setting;
- the ability to stay calm and resilient when supporting children who display heightened emotions;
- the ability to develop positive relationships with children and colleagues;
- a solution focused approach and the ability to put external agency advice into practice;
- If you are looking to work in a supportive team where ongoing training is prioritised, then Crossley Fields could be the school for you!

As this role involves working with children in regulated activity, please note that it is an offense to apply for the role if barred from engaging in regulated activity with children and vulnerable adults.
References will be requested and an online search carried out for shortlisted candidates, prior to attendance at interview. Further pre-employment checks, including prohibition from teaching, childcare disqualification and section 128 checks, if deemed relevant for the role, will be completed for the successful candidate upon acceptance of the post.

If you are:
- Experienced in working with children in a school or early years setting;
- Able to support children with intimate care where required;
- Looking to work in a supportive team where ongoing training is prioritised
- Able to have a positive attitude and a child focused approach to meeting children’s individual needs;
- A team player with excellent communication skills;
- Wanting to work school hours with school holidays;
